[edit] Introduction

SpiderAdmin is the default administrative interface for the Midgard Content Management Framework. It is the successor of the "OldAdmin" interface which has been part of all Midgard releases up to version 1.5.0 and was extended by several companies, developers and following input from the Midgard Community.

SpiderAdmin is about to be replaced by Aegir 2.0 as the default administration interface.

[edit] Accessibility Features

The SpiderAdmin interface has been redesigned with the Web Accessibility Initiative in mind and tries to follow its guidelines for Content Authoring and Authoring Tools closely.

The interface itself is written using the XHTML 1.0 Strict Document Type Definition and designed using the Cascading Style Sheets level 2 specification. It should work in any modern browser.

SpiderAdmin has been written with localization in mind. We use the NemeinLocalization library to provide the user interface in various languages. Right now we support English as default language plus German. As development evolves, we will extend support for other languages.
